Is Ya’ll Ready for the MIGHTY “O” ?

Idlewild

The first single for the Idlewild soundtrack, MIGHTY “O” is now availible for your audio pleasure, HERE. Check, check it oouuuut.

It irks me to no end that I can not reference my Pre Homeland Security Archives. But, for those of you who have’nt been following along, Outkast has a highly anticpated movie, named Idlewild, and it’s coming to theaters near us August 25th . It seems like it’s been forever because I’ve been following the making of this film for over a year and I’ve written 2 lengthy posts on it. Long story short, I’m thinking the film is going to be dope and I’m still pissed off at the casting agents for not calling upon the Saucy Dame Dizzle to participate in the filming. Ya’ll know I would’ve rocked it !

Learn more about the film and keep yourself up to date over HERE. You would do well to check out the link if you haven’t already.

On a side note: (I always have a damn side note, huh?) I had the chance to read the following article, The End of Outkast? (Thank you, Christina). My response: Is anyone really surprised? Time changes people, no matter who you are.

Big Boi

Dre

  2. I listened to “Mighty O” I’m not sure if I’m feeling it too much. It wasn’t as smooth as past Outkast tracks have been. Although I might have a bias because I read that article about how they recorded in album in two seperate studios. Is it the end? Maybe so but I don’t see them not ever working together in the future!

  4. I mean, do we really need them to tell us they’ve disbanded? You don’t have to ever read between the lines to see the tension. This has been going on since Stankonia. Success often breeds contempt. Their indfference is their difference. Both have different views on what direction Dre and Big Boi should go in. Neither has a word for OUTKAST though. Real true artist never go back, they only want to progress and forge new paths. I’ll still cop no matter what, the South wouldn’t be IT w/o Outkast, Dre and Big Boi.
