Labor Day weekend, I had the opportunity to hang out with the bubbly, Ms.Butta of “Butta On . . . “ and VIBE Confidential.
Quick History: This is my 2nd meet and greet with a fellow lady blogger. Raquel Wilson - B-Girl, graph artist, writer and founder of Verbalisms being the 1st. (Interestin’ is all I will say about that encounter)
You see, Butta was in town signing autographs for her new tell-all book and diggin’ up dirt on Prince and Mint Condition. She had her assistant give me a jingle on the ‘telly’ as she had some ‘down time’ and desired to take a cruise around the 10,000 lakes in her luxury limo. Her personal chef was busily preparing a fresh seafood dinner. (When we left her corporate sponsored penthouse, he was still waiting for our lobster to be flown in from the coast). Forgettabout ridin’ round a lake, I was ready grub. . .
Okay, I’m lying like a mo’fo . . . there was no assistant, no limo, no tell-all book, chef, penthouse or autographs. But it could happen damnit! I’m just practicing my storyline. Tis all.
Anyhoo, we did get our meet and greet on and it was a hoot. No seafood was prepared but we did have a nice meal at Azia . . .
- There were colorful candles in the Catapillar Lounge in which we chatted up a storm afterwards as I drank up alla the Sake and Butta sipped lemon water. (I tried to peer pressure her into gettin’ her drink ‘on’, but nope - just water. Ya’ll know I got my Sake ‘on’ (after dinner). Bump that!

Yes my lovilies, the Catapillar Lounge is really cute, swanky and colorful. It’s one of my favorite lounge hangouts.

But don’t get it twisted; the Saucy Dame Dizzle & Ms. Butta wasn’t posted up at a table for two having a candle lit dinner like a couple with rainbow sweaters on. Ms.Wright (B’s best buddy) was on the scene too. The real reason why Butta was in town.

We Grubbed. Butta indulged in the VIETNAMESE COCONUT CURRY, marinated in turmeric, served with broccoli, chicken, pineapple and steamed rice. (It was BANGIN’)

Ms.Wright enjoyed a SHRIMP CRISPROLL SALAD consisting shrimp crisp rolls a top rice noodles, fresh basil, cilantro, and spinach.

I had the KANNON STEAK & POTATOES an authentic French-Viet wok steak (very tender), with hand cut crispy potatoes and a special teriyaki sauce.

Ms.Wright & Butta sipped on Arnie Palmers (Lemonade and Ice Tea) garnished with a fresh flower. My alcoholic ass had plum wine.

I wore my pointy Easter shoes for the occasion. LOL!

We talked about life in Minnesota -vs- DC, men, love, family, fashion, blogging & more. Butta & her friend also witnessed how I tend to attract individuals who are prone to set-tripping on the Dame Dizzle. I swear, I aint doing anything to attract ‘drama’, but I tend to draw oddballs, drama queens, smart asses and lunatics, up out of the wood work. I still haven’t figured out why. I don’t fall into any of those categories. *lol* This time it was a waiter who was too saucy for his own damn britches. He almost got knifed down, right up on Nicollett Avenue in South Minneapolis. But that’s another story for another time.
In closing all I want to say is that is was a pleasure to meet the homegirl and when/if she comes back to Minnesota I look forward to hanging out again. It’s cool when you meet a person who’ve you’ve been reading and sharing life with online, for some time. Real cool it ’tis . . .

The presentation of the food, is impeccable. I’m sure the tastes and company were just as good too. You need to come east[DC to be exact] so I can have her royal sauciness savor the flava ova here.

That’s a nice eatery. The food looks wonderful. I could see myself eating there ALL the time. Shoot I’m hungry! I had to laugh at the shoe pic. I attract “special” people too. Could it be our perfume? Someone has to develop a repellant spray.

OK, I am all types of tardy, but I just had to leave a few words to say how wonderful it was to meet and hang out with you, Saucy!!! You are just as vivacious and fun in person as you come across online. I’m glad that we had a chance to get together, bond, and have a photo shoot. Ha ha! Just lemme know when you’re coming to DC–it’s on!
Much love,
Butta
P.S. Patrón parking only! ROFL
