Well my dears, I hope you’ll enjoy the new playlist as much as I do. With the exception of Ursula Ruckers, “What?” and cameo appearances from American artists - I do believe these wonderfully refreshing songs are creations stemming from overseas, Europe, the UK, France, Belgium, etc. Is it just me or is “World Music”, especially soul music and hip-hop, on the level of what the states useta represent before the ‘Cassies’ of the world were allowed into the studio? Why is our nation dumbing down and falling off? Please advise.
Oh! And I remembered to include a playlist this time (talking to you Ms.TK). It is one of my favorites thus far, so there should be no reason for you not to love it. *lol*
Well, there are a few ripples in my blend. . .I’m still learning. But otherwise, I’m feeling like a real saucy bird right about now.
Holla!

I hop the pond everyday and listen to BBC 1xtra. It’s a nice change.

This is a great radio blog. You did your homework girl.
Joy Denalane is the shiznit. I downloaded a few tracks from her new album Born & Raised via iTunes. When I get a little bit of scrilla, I’m going to buy the CD.
Unfortunately, Joy is being overshadowed by Corrine’s “It Girl” status by the critics. Hopefully, both ladies will get equal shine this year. That Brand New Heavies CD is fierce as well.
Great choices overall.
Although I have to say, where is my girl Lisa Stansfield? LOL! Yeah, I know she’s old-school, but humor an old fogey.
Great job, ‘Lique!
Keep the radio blogs rolling . . .

I WANT THOSE SHOES!!! I’m English and love British paraphenalia. Oh, and I agree about Joy Denalane too. I’m into all sorts of music, especially the less popular kind. There’s a lot of hidden talent out there.
