So I Guess I Won’t Be Invited To The Church Picnic Anytime Soon . . .

Since I first learned of the Pope Benedict XVI/ Islam Controversy over his usage of the quotation . . .

Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.

. . . I have been outraged. Not because I am of Islamic faith, but because the last thing that the Western hemisphere needs at this point in time is a highly ranking representative of the Roman Catholic church spouting off medieval quotes about the so called evilness and inhumanity of Muhammad and his followers. Talk about the definition of a “shit starter”; we should paste a picture of the pope’s wrinkly ass right next to it.

And let’s keep it real – true, he apologized, but we all know that he’s really not that sorry about what he said. If you’ve even remotely followed this guys steez, you already know the deal.

Not surprisingly, in response to the Popes speech, Muslim extremists are declaring war on all “cross bearers” and claiming the war will not cease until all are converted or fall to the sword. And even though I am not a Christian, if the day were to come, I would be treated as such because I live on American soil.

Aren’t we living 2006? When is this “The Empire Strikes Back” shit going to end? Never . . . I suppose.

Quite frankly I am tired of all men, regardless of their faith, condemning one another and declaring war on humanity for the sake of religion. Let me make myself very clear when I say that I am not religious. I have no question that a higher power exists and I respect my creator. But religious crusades, wrong doings in the name of God and intolerance pisses me off. As a human being I have the right to my own beliefs. I have the right to be an independent thinker. I have a right not impose my thoughts on those who do not share my belief system. So long as I am not bringing harm to the human race, this should be acceptable.

I personally address this to all religious persons who condone religious wars and have basically condemned me to eternal hell or death because I don’t believe in your version of spirituality: For the sake of venting on this chilly Autumn evening; I say, if (and only if) you put yourself above me and place judgment on my heart and soul, in the name of ‘your’ God - fuck you and your religion. In the words of the late Tupac Shakur, “Only God can judge me.” You, my ‘friend’, are not God.

And more than anything, I find many of Gods so called “representatives” to be very scary (and generally annoying).

I don’t mean to come across as being so harsh and angry, but do any of you out there understand what’s going on? It’s really something we should all be concerned about – regardless if you agree with my spiritual beliefs or not.

War is not God. War is of Man. At this very moment I am looking at picture of the Pope in the newspaper and he looks like pure evil. But he’s not alone . . .

In closing, I leave you with the following clips from the documentary “Jesus Camp” . You can watch more clips from the documentary at the YouTube website.

So tell me, are you ready for “Gods Army” ?

  2. Scary doesn’t even describe the atrocity of persecution in these video clips. The children have no chance to think for themselves. This is what we find in our home across the country and world. These extremist measures have been take to another level. So, sad that we as adults live for the future and the “seeds” of our fruit. Yet, we inundate them with this type of education/programming? Who’s fighting for them since they don’t have the capacity to fight for themselves, by themselves? I really hope this doesn’t represent any trends of culture. But, as I view these, I guess it already has become exactly that. Some of this reminds me of the fat chick who called herself a “God Warrior” on Wife Swap and went off on nat’l. tv.
