Google buys YouTube for $1.65 Billion . . .

“I’m confident that with this partnership we’ll have the flexibility and resources needed to pursue our goal of building the next-generation platform for serving media worldwide,” said Hurley,YouTube’s 29-year-old CEO.

Dang. Dude is like filthy nouveau riche off of everyday citizens home videos & what not . . . not too shabby for a 29 year old. I’m interested in how this investment will play out over the next few years. Will You Tube still be as appealing now that Google has its capitalistic fingers in the pie?

Do You Keep Falling for Jerks?

Now, before you start trying to read between the lines . . . on some ‘ol, ‘Angelique must be a magnet for ‘jerks’. She’s having a tough time in the dating game. She’s going through something in her personal life - that’s why she’s sharing this article with us’. Stop yourself. I’ll answer the question for you . . .

a. I’m not having an struggles with dating, because I am simply not dating at this time (too many other things to focus on at the moment). I am pleased in respects to my status. But, if I were dating, I’d know a jerk when I see one. This comes from years of experience of personally dealing with jerks and having female friends, family members, etc who have dealt with jerks. If one does manage to blend his way into the picture, he will quickly see the exit.

b. I also know what it’s like to be treated by a man who doesn’t have time for all of the unnecessary jerking off. One who listens. One who is thoughtful. One who is strong and confident. One who adores me. One who is patient with all of MY baggage and didn’t run for the hills the first time he saw that I was human and flawed. One who has invested years in our friendship and has held me down through the good, the bad and the ugly. . . even when I dated ‘jerks’, thinking I was cute, but really settling (which has always been uncomfortable for me).

Once you’ve experienced the love of a well put together brother, dating an asshole is simply no longer appealing on any level because you know the difference. If you are any bit of a sound minded woman, you would never throw your pearls before swine and sling mud at the man who offers you diamonds. That right there is plum crazy. I prefer to be the more rational type. And even then . . . love can be complicated.

With that being said, I’m posting the following article because I still think it’s worth a read. So many women I have met . . . still-don’t-get-it. I do. I’m just trying to help us along . . .

So sit tight, because I will be working my way back to the heart things . . . my beloved bloggy-blog (and of course the people who read it). And I’ll have some fresh updates for you then. Okay? Cool . . .

Where will I be next Saturday? At The Gathering LIVE! - having a loooooovely time on the red carpet and rubbing elbows with all of my sisters. And you already know the Saucy Dame Dizzle is officially a designated paparazzi chick and all around “scene maker”. *ha ha* Here’s the scoop on how it’s going down . . .

There’s a little less than two weeks left before the biggest event the Twin Cities has ever seen comes to the Historic State Theatre in downtown Minneapolis.
