I’m Just Sayin’ . . .

Hi, my name is Angelique Kingsbury. Some folks call me “Saucy Dame”. In case you haven’t noticed, SAUCYDAMEDELUX.COM is my personal website/blog. I’ve been in “this” - (the bloggin’ game) since 2002.
I just want to make one thing clear for anyone who may be confused . . . writing is my therapy.
This blog: It is my lifeline - my creative outlet – a free form of self expression — orchestrated by the likes of me and only me. And please believe me when I tell you, the world is a much better place because of this tiny slice of the internet that I’ve been holding down — based on on the strength of 4 years of sucking air, the daily grind and due diligence.
Why?
Because if I weren’t allowed to express myself in the above fashion . . . If I weren’t allowed to reflect on the status of my life, both good and bad, the thick and thin; I just might be indulging in some behavior that wouldn’t benefit me or society. It is very possible I would be in jail or worse. . .
Understand?
You know, sometimes I worry about how I will be perceived by people who visit the site. Will my words be taken out of context? Will I be misunderstood? Will some idiot drop by, read between the lines and assume I’m writing about them? Will I jeopardize a career opportunity because my opinion is not one that is politically correct?
I wonder – “What will be the repercussions of me airing out my thoughts, vulnerabilities and ghetto-fabulous life style on the internet?”
Like everyone else, I have my weaknesses, my insecurities – flaws that I wish to minimize. We all wear “masks” to a certain extent. That’s life. It’s part of the game – self preservation. Ya know? Still, I realize that it takes a certain type of person to submit their psyche over to the world through writing. Not everyone has the guts or glory to pull it off. But you know what? I DO. I AM THAT PERSON. My life is an open book. And I am okay with the person that I am. . . beautifully human.
Just thought I’d share that with you and remind myself in the process.
With that being said, I’ve had some fun loving, crazy, sexy, cool times, my friends. I’ve also had some angry, isolated, depressing moments as well. . .
life. . . life. . . life. . .
What is yours like? Who are you and what do you stand for? What do you know about yourself?
Me?
I’ve slammed doors in unappreciative lovers faces . . . Been confronted by my nosey neighbors about my love making sessions. I’ve . . . vented my frustrations . . .wrote REDRUM . . .Posted up “shot-gun” in souped up hearses . . . Dealt with rude drag queens . . .
I’ve rode the steel horse too many times . . . Played “Solitaire” . . . more than once.
I’ve, cussed out my dentist . . . Said “God Bless Minneapolis” . . .Spoke on what it feels like to be an amazon in a land of dwarfs . . . Broke down the “ghetto salon” experience . . . Challenged an ignorant ass police officer . . . Questioned religion . . .I’ve danced with Ghostface Killah in front of a “sold out” audience . . .Found myself trapped in a theater . . . Been shut down by Homeland Security . . . Shared my LOVE of LIFE . . . and SO MUCH MORE. . .
And just think, I have lotsa living left to do (God willing). I aint hardly “arrived“. There are a kabillions things I have yet to do. A kabillion experiences I have yet to have or write about. Not to mention, all of the experiences that I haven’t shared (yet). Ya’ll have NO IDEA. And I know I’m rambling this evening/morning . . . but I’m just saying . . . for as much as I’ve shared - ya’ll still don’t know me. . .and that’s okay. For ANYONE who choses to judge me . . . I say this to you: Stand in a mirror, recount your life, say a lil prayer for yourself and FALL BACK. Just had to get that offa my chest. For the rest of ya’ll - thanks for sharing my world. I’se surely appreciate it.
Living. Writing. Learning & Humbly Yours,
Angelique -

That’s a nice hat you are wearng in that photo . . .
Anyway, bravo on this post.
And thank you for linking up all of your classic posts in one paragraph. They are worthwhile reading material.
I also suggest that readers of the Saucy Dame comment on those posts listed. Yeah, they are three-year-old posts, but they need fresh thoughts and commentary.
Keep your head up Saucy.
Peace!

Great entry!
I haven’t visited your site much since you became deluxe and I’m glad I came back through. Now I kinda feel caught up on what I’ve been missing.
I’m going to take Trent’s directive and comment on some of your old posts.
take care!
