I’m ready for 2007 . . .

Welp, I hope everyone enjoyed their “Holiday”. Personally, I am glad the Christmas season is officially a wrap. I’m ready to get the ‘007 crackin’. Besides, I’m tried of seeing random hoes on the internet, sporting santa hats and ridiculous red & white “get-ups”/lingerie/etc. And this goes for all of you corny “man-hoes’ wearing those santa hats too. *ha ha*

Anyhoo, I’m in an odd mood right about now so I will keep it short and sweet. Updates cometh . . . new RADIO. BLOG . . . new music features, etc. And isn’t about time I switch up the Saucy Dame of the Week? That MJB pic is kinda funny, huh? Do you think she could crack a smile? [ I thought it was cute at first and then later felt compelled to swap it out for a different pic but I am too lazy] So check back in with S Double D a little later, aight?

Oh yeah, you may have noticed I have some advertising linkage going on through out my posts. Well, for starters - please feel free to click on the links and purchase something! Also, moving forward, there will more advertising to come. Just FYI. Every nickel counts. Overstand this, Saucy Dame Delux aka Angelique aka “Me” is going to get in where I fit in . . . even more so than what occured in 2006.

2007 = FUCK YOU, PAY ME! I’m not trying to be rude, but if it doesn’t benefit me finanically, spiritually or give back to the community in some form or fashion — I have NO TIME to invest. Real talk.

Say it aint so . . . *dab tears* Damn, it’s seem like all of the talented, souful, super funky and original artists I was born a raised on are perishing. And now, James Brown. . .

Is SOUL music officially ethered? I’m bumpin’ James Brown all day, today - the Christmas Soul album and the whole works . . .

ATLANTA (Reuters) - Singer James Brown, the self-proclaimed “Godfather of Soul,” who billed himself as the hardest working man in show business, died on Monday at age 73, his manager said.

Brown died at 1:45 a.m. (0645 GMT) at Emory Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta after being admitted there on Saturday for treatment of severe pneumonia, his manager, Frank Copsidas, said. Charles Bobbit, Brown’s longtime friend and personal manager, was at his side, he said.

The singer, also known as “Mr. Dynamite,” is credited with bringing the word “funk” into mainstream musical vernacular and influencing a new generation of black music.

Rap and hip hop artists revered him for the grooves he was able to produce as a band leader and used his beats extensively as the backdrop to their own songs.

Brown’s hit “Say it Loud (I’m Black and I’m Proud)” became a civil rights anthem during the turbulent 1960s and he performed the song at Richard Nixon’s inaugural in 1969 — an act that temporarily hurt his popularity among young blacks (more . . .)
