[EXHIBIT A.] Somebody’s momma came to the movie all extra late and stepped all over my good foot (the one without a bunion) . . . REAL HARD. Ouuuuuch! I wanted to cry out into the darkness but I didn’t want to fuck up anyone’s DREAMGIRLS experience. And did she say “excuse me”. . . .? YES!

Still I could’ve allowed myself to be offended if I really wanted to . . . cuz folks always gotta be all extra tardy to the “picture show” and stepping on other peoples feet and shit.

Hmph *crosses arms*

Not to mention someone in the theatre had on some loud ass Vanilla Fields “PAR-FUME” . But that’s neither here nor there . . .

Thanks! I Think?

So, I arrive at work this morning to find two stale Christmas cookies sitting on my desk along with a gift that is wrapped in really cute “snowman” paper and adorned golden mesh bow.

SD: Aw . . . who is this from?

DK: *peeking over the cubicle* Me . . .

Quick Facts: “Me” is a he who is very nice indeedy. He is a middle aged man who delights in sharing his Caribou Coffees snack bars with me, cuz he knows I like coffee and snacks. Hell, sometimes that’s all you need to make acquaintances with the Dame Dizzle.

DK: Actually, it’s from my wife. I had the kids wrap it.

SD: Thank you. That was very thoughtful . . .

I appreciatively eye-balled the package. It is the first gift I’ve received this season. I had no clue what it may be, but I knew that whatever it was wouldn’t be too elaborate because it was coming from a co-worker. And I really wasn’t sure why his wife would take an interest in picking out a gift for me, anyway. . .

However, it was nice of him and his wife to think of me. *thinking to myself* Hmmm . . . I wonder what everyone else received?

When I get through messing around with ya’ll – I’mma hit the block, real savvy like. But definitely not on any hoe shit. *Strikes a diva pose* What the heck am I talking about you ask? Well, Myspace is aight, but I’m going to check for Dame Dash and Kwame DeCuir’s latest endeavor, “Block Savvy” . . .

When it’s all said and done, I’m curious to know what my cyber empire will amount to. Hmmm . . . who will I join an alliance with? I’m not sure just yet. I’m trying to get draped in wealth, both off and online. *ha ha* What about you? Anyone want to join me? I’ll be re-visiting this topic so stay tuned. This whole “Block Savvy” thing might be EL LAME-O. . .

GHOSTDEINI Makes Moves Into The Literary Realm . . .
I have mixed emotions about my boo, the Ghostface Killah, making the decision to spout off all of his personal business in his book of personal memoirs [which has yet to be given an official title]. Of course I want to know what he’s been up to over the years . . . but then again, do I really want to know what he’s been up to? *sniffs* knowwhati’msayin’, B?

I’m 100% sure his joint will be more interesting than Carmen Bryans . . . which was a real snoooooze (If you take the celebrity factor out of the equation). I want my $$$ back! I am also curious to know what will be exposed about other members of the WuTang Clan. I guess we’ll have to wait til February 2007 to get the scoop. Unless somone out there cops me a bootleg copy . . .

Movie Musings . . .
I have the opportunity to see an advance preview of DREAMGIRLS at no charge. But this time around I think I will wait until Christmas Day. I’m really into the hype of it. I also want to see all of the previews for upcoming films (advance previews tend to skip over all of that). Special previews can be fun, but sometimes the preview attendees can be a little too disruptive for me. Free shit tends to bring out the “ghetto-ness” in folks. Know what I mean? I don’t want nooooobody interfering with my Dreamgirls experience, cuz they don’t know how to behave in public. Etiquette; I just can’t express how important it is !

And since I’m on the topic - Last week I attended an advanced showing for “The Pursuit of Happyness”. My thoughts: Long . . . and slow moving. I think Will Smith is an excellent actor and his son, Jaden Smith is following in his footsteps. The film in general sent a positive message and it had its funny moments. But I just wish they would’ve picked up the pace. Honestly, I am glad I was able to see this movie at no charge. This is a great film to see on video and not block buster material. Of course this is strictly MY opinion. It has already been nominated for two Golden Globe awards.

HALLEJUAH! Let the trumpets blow! This saturday night I will start my very firstest ever . . . . . *drum roll please* PAID writing assignment. HIP-HOP HOOOOORAY! *does the wave* And the pay is excellent! Oh my gooodness, I can finally see some dough for my efforts and it’s not a mirage. I would elaborate on the details of my employer, but I can’t dish out all of my sciences — not just yet. Lemme ‘bust’ the check they send first, and maybe we can take it from there. Just be HAPPY for me. I know I am.

I have more marketing/writing projects in the works, locally. But I’ve been asked to keep my lips zipped. Just know a broad aint over here twiddling her thumbs. But you already knew that anyway. Moving right along . . .

SAUCY DAME IS IN THE BUILDING . . .

In regards to my new radio show gig with the award winning hip-hop program, “The Session with Special Dark” : Lawd have mercy. . . . THERE IS WORK TO BE DONE ! Please understand, ya girl the Saucy Dame Dizzle (moi) is somewhat new to the world of radio (or at least the participating on air part of it). Last weeks show was my very first run, ever. After reviewing my segments of the show — I’m thinking my high pitched voice could crack glasses and my midwest twang could be sampled for a Polka Album or something . . . *crosses eyeballs*

But the good news is that the presentation of my entertainment news offerings will only get better with time. You already know, I’m taking notes and honing my skills. Once I find my rhythm . . .it’s going to be on and poppin’ like hot buttery popcorn. Cuz whatever I touch has to be ON POINT. Come correct . . . or don’t come at all. Right?
