I could be making an assumption (and you know what happens when people ASS (out of) U (and) ME), but I think Erykah is caught up in the rapture right about now . . . caught up the rapture of sweet and blissful love. Dare I say . . .again. Can’t front though, she really knows how to pick ‘em (the creative types). Jay Electronica is full of possibilities and definitely on the verge. The joints on his Myspace profile are HOTTTTT! I can dig it. This union ‘tween the two southern natives is WONDERFUL for her creative process.
But, 3 albums in 2007? I think that trumps Maxwells pledge of 3 albums in 3 years . . .(and we still aint heard a complete single - even though he hyped all the ladies up for Valentines Day and then fell short). Typical man. *rolls eyeballs*
Like I said, I may be way off base. For all I know, she might have been stacking material for the past few years and has made the decision 2007 is the right time. Whatever the case, I’m READY for some new Badu. I am pleased to hear the good news.
As for Jay Electronica:

So much for being an “analog girl in a digital girl”. I think Erykah has mastered more technology than she gives herself credit for. *wink*

Can’t see her dropping them consecutively. Erykah, like all the Soulquarians is a master at work technician. She won’t put out anything that doesn’t “sound” right to her ears. She’s talking about dropping 3 albums like she’s DMX, or Jay-Z. I bet she’ll play us with 1 full length and 2 EP’s [if that]. I can tell you I’ve been waiting for her new shit to drop [just like D'Angelo, Maxwell & Bilal (oh shit, I already have Bilal's unreleased shit)] like you. But, I feel her other worldly nature and production schedule get hampered by her outstanding artistic integrity and creativity. I am, however, with you Queen Lique in that she probably has a legacy of recordings vaulted similar to that of Tupac.

Yeah, E.Badu is not dropping three albums in a year. But she is long overdue for a new album.
So let’s cross our fingers and hope nothing impedes Badu from releasing another classic for our ears in ‘07.
