In honor of Memorial Day and with the “Fourth of You Lie” swiftly approaching, I feel some of THE UNDISPUTED TRUTH is appropriate for the occasion. But before you get to pressing buttons . . . As Trent would say: Can we please have a moment of silence?
Except for me cuz I’m the Queen of waxing poetic.
*ahem*
Dear Brother Ali,
Minnesota loves you and as a child of God, I do too! You are like the big brother that I always wanted but never had — and a shining example of what can become of diligence, talent and faith. I also would like to say it’s way righteous that you continue offer other aspiring (local) artists the opportunity to travel the road with you and share your journey. I wish you all the best that the world has to offer and I can’t hardly wait for you and the crew to return home to tear down FIRST AVENUE like you’ll never rhyme again.
Much respect,
Angelique -

Dear World,
Take notes and apply generously. . .
Thank you,

“Wrong image, wrong religion, wrong city: Meet Brother Ali, hip hop’s unlikely savior” (more . . .)
For all of you “North Side Riders” who know the deal, this next pic should make you smile . . .and I’m about ready for the summer time “Fish Wagon” to be posted up for our enjoyment too. Aren’t you?
“Arlene El-Amin has been a big influence on Brother Ali’s life. “We’re proud of what he’s been doing with his music,” she says. She is the mother of the Imam of his mosque, Masjid An-Nur, and is also the mother of Khalid, the pro ball player who led UConn to the NCAA championship. ”

Side Note: I currently reside blocks away from the mosque shown in the photo. I am interested to see the final results of the new construction.
