I woke up a few minutes ago, from a dream that was most disturbing. . .
My heart is still pounding with pure, unfiltered rage.
I was so unsettled in my early morning picture-show that I lost my breath from choking on curse words. It is not so much the scenario of the dream that bothered me (but trust that it was bothersome) — more so it’s the fact that I was dreaming about pure foulness, featuring some jenky ass individuals who I wish not to entertain in my dreams, or otherwise.
The way I see it, I have done well to purge the people, places and things that do no add substance to my life. I’ve kicked most of the ’subtractions’ and ‘distractions’ to the curb; in search of things that will fill me up with love and light and give my life purpose. Mostly, I’ve successful with my house cleaning and I am proud of that (relieved too).
So why come I gotta be dreaming of disaster on a Sunday morning?
Fools & fuckery should not get any airtime during my REM process. Period.
I wouldn’t necessarily call this mornings interruption a nightmare though — just annoying as hell.
Still . . .
I’d much rather dream about the sun coming up over a field of wild flowers, with me in the center and colorful butterflies swirling all around me. Or, better yet, me skinny dipping my perfectly toned body in crystal blue waters that are connected to cascading waterfall and my lover is wading towards me. Hell, I’d even settle for one of those dreams where I ‘come up’ on a large sum of money and I damn near tear down the globe trying to spend it all . . .Hell, anything other than what my mind pieced together this morning . . .as it was some straight.up. garbage.
Unresolved issues lurking in the crevices of my soul? Me no likey!!! I guess I’ll keep working through it. I have no other choice, right? Exaaaaactly.

With all of the garbage effortlessly infiltrating the air waves and media in general; Chrisette Michelle is a welcomed breath of fresh air. But don’t don’t take my word for it . . .
Preview five new cuts from Michelles debut album, “I Am”, set for a release date of June 19th. For starters, the jazzfied hip-hop single, “Good Girl” is my new favorite. As a matter of fact, I have that joint swirling around Myspace profile, like, as of this moment. And not to be overlooked are the smoothed out ballads for you mellow yellows out there who like to reflect and chill. Michelle is song bird with a golden voice that should not be slept on.

Oh Lordy. *shakes head*
This past evening I decided it would be fun to ‘lighten’ my current hair color. Without any thought or consideration as too the fact that I am not a professional colorist; I reached for a highlighting kit that promised to give my hair the ultimate “Caramel Blonde” highlights.
The box read:
“Shimmering strands of light at the stroke of a brush. A multi-facted spectrum of caramel blonde highlights.”
Yay! Bring on the blonde! I can pull it off, right? Certainly.
I couldn’t hardly wait to get home . . . and get my Mary J Blige on.
