Spinderella Joins “B Girl Be” in Raising Funds for the 3rd Annual “B Girl Be - A Celebration of Women In Hip Hop”.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Yeah so . . . a few weekends ago I got my meet & greet on with the legendary trend setter/b-girl supreme, Ms. Deidra Muriel Roper aka “Spinderella”, 1/3 of one of the BADDEST female rap trios to grace the stage, Salt & Pepa. As a teenager, they were my fashion ICONS. I wanted to be just like Salt, Pep & Spin. I had the dance moves down, the lyrics tight and my hair was fierce. Those girls were beyond FLY!
So yeah you know, it was nothing *lol* . . . I was just doing my thing. A few dranky-dranks at the Graves Hotel with the homies . . . a nice leisurely stroll down ‘The Ave’ (the weather was lovely) . . .and two steps over yonder — where we caught up ‘Spin’ getting her ‘paper’ and bumping the old school cuts well into the a.m.
B-Girl-Be is on its 3rd run this year. One of this years special guests is none other than spoken word artist, Ursula Rucker, who hails from the “City of Brotherly Love”, Philadelphia and is known for her intense spoken word performances (“The Adventures In Wonderland“, “ Return To Innocence Lost”“) on The Roots mid 90’s contributions, “lladelph Halflife” and “When Things Fall Apart” .
In what is growing into traditional fashion, the annual summit will feature workshops and panels, art-making (live mural projects by dope international, local and U.S. female artists), special screenings, performances, networking opportunities and more.
Spinderella was asked to visit Minneapolis and help us raise some cash flow for the event. She obliged, and the crowd “pushed it real good”.

As one being spit out of the vaginal lining of Philadelphia, I can attest to the firtile grounds of creativity that give light to us. I can also tell you Ursula, is no joke. She will crush any and all comers. Her and Mystic really take it to new heights. Ohh, how could I forget Miss, 1 Jill Scott. All emprecees [yes, I made a word up, it's the conjugation of emcee, and empress]. Take it or like it. I do.
