Coming From Where I’m From: Minnesota Pride

There are days when I curse all things Minnesota. I grow weary of the same ‘ol places and the same ‘ol faces. . .the same old & tired daily grind. . .country folks and mashed potato eating “pink-toes” that are poked fun at nation wide. . .Yeah, I live in the Midwest and it gets cold as hell in the winter and we aint never going to see no palm trees no time soon.
But you know what? Love it or hate, it’s MY city. If anything unfortunate were to happen to them same ‘ol places and faces I fuss about — I’d feel it in my soul. I was born and raised in north Minneapolis. I could move a million miles away and nothing will change that. This city is a part of who I am and I’m going to keep on reppin’ it until the casket drops.
In light of recent events I have put together a presentation of the place that laid the foundation of the Saucy Dame and many other fabulous people. All of the looove and all the evil. I have more pics to share when I update the official SDD.COM gallery (which needs drastic updating.) I couldn’t possibly cover the entire city in a few slide shows.

AWWWwwwww I needed that FIX…as much as I curse it when I am at home I go threw my “Minni-Hopeless” withdrawals from time to time.

You got me feeling all warm and fuzzy. Those are beautiful scenic shots Lique! I know every location and I too got that love/hate thing with the Minneapple. It aint where I’m from, but its damn sure where its at.

WOW!!You need to put those photos in a book….Great photography…I have always said you have a great eye MA…You may already have it coming up but what about the 90’s you need a least one Drag Queen too…LOVE IT, you made me think of home in a more positive way…must admit I have been feeling cool on this place also…now I see stars your the brightest one yet.
