RADIO.BLOG: THE LOFT FILES

The woman who resides behind the door pictured above is in love with music. What would any home be like without the sound of sweet music filling its nooks and crannies? I couldn’t even imagine. I am a musical person, always have been. I thank the Creator for that, *smile*. Much to the annoyance of my coworkers, I’m always humming a song under my breath. And if I’m not singing a song, I’m thinking about the lyrics in my head.

If faced with having to chose between being either visually or hearing impaired, surely I’d be strongly leaning towards blindness. Of course my first choice is to be neither. But, to live life without sound . . . well, I might just wither up and turn to dust. By no means am I implying that the blind or the deaf should give up on life. I’m just saying, I’se been needing to be surrounded by some harmony and bass. Ya know?

In honor of the very first RADIO.BLOG mixed in my new loft apartment splendor, I’ve entitled the following mix, The Loft Files. It is my hope that the essence of Jill Scott, Chaka Khan, Ledisi and Amy Winehouse will penetrate all surfaces and rest well in the brick and sheet-rock with that saucy sauce that saucy dames cling to. I just know a little bit of Mary J. Blige, Amel Larrieux and N’Dambi will linger in the halls and fill my closets with lots of love and soul. Rick James, Tank and Common have free reign to swirl all up and through the boudoir. Well, on second thought, I might have to keep Rick confined to the living room. *wink*

Where ever you chose to listen to this latest groove, I hope it has the same effect on your environment as it does mine. I’m feeling positively uplifted, ready for the world and chillaxed.
