About This Post/Podcast:

The following selections are what I’m listening to at the ‘crib’. It is by no means intended to be a definitive collection of love songs to “set the mood” for Valentines Day, more so, an eclectic mix of love/love-hater songs that make nice for a day like today. . . no matter what your relationship status is.

Saucy Trivia:

The image used for this post was taken in the boudoir of the Saucy Dame Dizzle.

The framed print of Billie Holiday (one of my absolute favorite songbirds), was given to me by the man whom I may possibly grow old with. He is one of my best friends and my favorite Valentine, always. Sincere and thoughtful he is… When my mind and spirit were ailing he brought to the ocean to bath in the sunshine and lick traces of sea-salt from my lips…

Parting Commentary:

The most important person you should ever romance is YOURSELF. Take the time to nurture your soul. Be kind to your heart and spirit. Learn to love YOU first. Everything else will fall into place.

LISTEN to the lyrics…and FEEL me in several different ways.

#20 really says it all…

PUMP THAT VALENTINES ON THE DAILY!

*Hugs*

Remembering One of Minnesota’s Finest…

Big Kong

February 2nd, 2008., Minnesota lost a true O.G. - Big Kong, to a sudden brain aneurysm. So, so, sad. I am always at a loss of words in situations like this. The only comfort I find in this terrible news is the fact that “Kong” no longer has to deal with the stress and strain of this bitter earth.

Dying is easy. It’s living that’s hard. If there is a heaven I have no doubt that he is being fitted with a pair of wings.

What I know about know about “Kong”:

In the summer, he loved to sit on the lake, crack open a brewski and fish until the sun went down.
He loved riding his bike.
He repped his city hard.
He always had a smile for me.
He was big and strong. A mans, man. No question.
The ladies loved him.
The brothers respected him.
He will be deeply missed.
