Stuff Educated Black People Like
“As educated Black people, we will shed some insight on the things we like. However, this site is to be taken lightly–it’s an amalgamation of reality, comedy and parody! For all of you that aren’t educated enough to understand: it’s just jokes!”
- EBP
SEBPL is one of my new favorites. It is funny, on point and I KNOW the folks they are speaking on. Some of what is written applies to me and other things don’t. I suppose it’s because I hold an A.S. degree in Human Services and I’m kinda, sorta, ghetto-fab. *ha ha*
Shouts to Tiarah for putting me on to the linkage.

This is pretty much point on.
I glossed over the site and I can attest that I do like…
2. Neo- Soul
[although the movement is no longer as specific, as when it began circa 95, 96]
3. Baked Chicken
[ Ya boy can swing some damn good dishes of variety on the baked chicken yo.]
4. I tend to be more attracted to women who have “naptural” hair.
[But, I love the ladies no matter who's hair it is, your own, or you bought your own.]
7. Advanced Degrees
[Well, I am in Grad School]
8. Business Cards
[My crew, clowns me because I collect them. But there is a reason I keep my circles in different rotating patterns.]
9. Town Homes/ Condo’s/ a House on a hill, property period.
[I'd like to think I'm going to get this one day. I have to get my credit straight and all that jazz. Oh! School loans too. Maybe later than sooner?]
11. Turkey Bacon/Sausage
[There are so many brads here, and they all to some varying degree of goodness can be had. Plus it's better for your health.]
13. Talking About Uneducated Black People
[Yeah, we all do it. It's funny when you see a lost soul, so content and happy in their oppressed state. Then you try and show'em a little light, only to get argued with, or rebuffed.]
15. Getting dressed up
[This one is my favorite. I remember friends and my GF who used to always get mad at me when "I looked better than her." They would always reference my style of dress to the event we were attending or going to. Like, "Why are you dressed up? We're only going to the movies, or the local sleazy speak easy." Hey! If I'm going to be seen, I want to look good, no matter what! So, catch me if ya can.]

Long time lurker, but love your website. You always have the interesting content that almost nobody else finds/regurgitates
SEBPL is a funny site. I caught it earlier on and thought it wouldn’t do so well, but it’s pretty damned funny. Like you, I have some ghetto fab tendencies, so everything doesn’t apply to me, but I do know people like this lol.

I was checking in on your site with the mantra in my head “I need more joy in my life” and of course the Dame did not disappoint.
This is funny as hell! Hilarious — made even more so because its oh so true. You don’t have to read no further then today’s entry
#16. MOVING TO ATLANTA. You and I both know bout 2-3 ppl gettin ready to move to the ATL right now! Love it.
Oh and the partner site “Stuff White People Like” entry #86. SHORTS. OhhKaay? It was warmish in Minne today - like bout 48 degrees - and I saw ppl in shorts, tank tops, even someone sitting outside in the SNOW sunbathing! I kid you not.
Joy for the night accomplished.
