Add Some WOW to Your Brows

A lot of people overlook the fundamentals and the importance of well-groomed eyebrows and wonder what goes wrong with their ‘look’. Eyebrow grooming is one of the most vital steps that go into making you look pulled together and polished. A well-shaped set of eyebrows can completely alter your look and take you to the levels of chic and sophisticated from unkempt and primal.

Anyone who knows me, know that I’m all about keeping my eyebrows ‘on point’. One reader went as far as saying “You have the most perfectly arched eyebrows in the Western Hemisphere“. Ha Ha!

This weekend I was intrigued and amazed by woman from India who practices the art of “Threading”. She was swift with her technique and her clients brows looked awesome!

I tweeze my brows and occasionally and when I want to be ‘pampered’ (or I’m feeling lazy), I have them waxed at a ghetto nail shop around my way. For $10.00 the “eyebrow lady” be riggin’ my brows up (with noooo breakouts). Still, I might have to try the threading technique. Not only is “threading” for brows, it is for facial hair as well. Both men and women can reap the benefits of keeping your facial hair in check.

Men, don’t sleep on the benefits of a groomed brow. Now, I don’t mean high arches and mascara, just a nice clean line, none of that Al B Sure unibrow business. Ya dig?

  2. Threading is great. Cost the same as waxing but is faster and last longer. I paid $6 in NYC and went about every 3-4 weeks. Never in there for more than 5-10 minutes.

  3. I don’t want any of that threading stuff near my eyebrows.

I tweezed them every once and while, but that’s about it.

A woman once told me that a man with a hairy brow shows that he’s manly, and that if it is too trimmed it makes him girly.

    I don’t know — to each his/her own.

  4. I’m with you. I get my brows waxed once a month and then I maintain with tweezers. I’ve been managing the brow since I was 21 and the woman who “sculpts” them now has been doing so for the almost 7 years. When you shape your brows in completes the look and changes everything about your face.

And don’t forget handling the stache!
