The Foshay Soiree - A Glamourous Affair

A historical landmark and the second tallest concrete skyscraper, next to the Empire State Building, Minneapolis’ own Foshay Tower re-opens this month as the W Minneapolis hotel.

Art deco architecture, a 27th floor “sky bar”, an observation deck w/ the original telescopes, original marble pillars and terrazzo floors, neon lights, spectacular skyline views and fully wired technology are just a few of the attractive features the new hotel has to offer.
“Swanky” is the word when speaking on the $75 million dollar investment. “Eye Popping”, “Amazing” and “Lavish” are other words being used in reference. I’d like to add “Off-the-chain.” to the list.
The hotel’s suites have names such as “Wonderful Room,” “Spectacular Room,” and “Extreme Wow Room.”

Anyhoo,
Tonight is the night the doors swing open and the public is allowed access to the all of the glitz and glamour. I’d really like to attend. If not tonight, I will be taking a tour sometime soon. Stay tuned for photos/footage.
The Invite:
“Be one of the first to celebrate the restoration of the Foshay Tower, reopening this month as the W Minneapolis hotel, in style. The opening party will feature a Roaring ’20s theme, with live swing music by Robert Bell’s Hot Swing Combo with Maud Hixson, dance lessons by the Swing Cats, an auction and hors d’oeuvres. Proceeds will benefit the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota.
