Mishal Moore: A Big ‘Ol Bowl of Sweet Pineapple Juice

” I’ve spent years listening to what other people expected from me and what I should do with my music…the way I should sing, what I should write….it’s taken a long time for me to realize….THEY DON’T KNOW SHIT!! Only I can ever make that decision… I’ve busted my ass for the last six years, no job, living with my folks, eating LOTS of spaghetti, moving from Florida (my hometown) to New York to New Jersey only to put up with a crack-head landlord (LATER: I’ve since moved out that crack-head situation). Grinding so hard, I’ve had to fill up again, so I can grind on the same exact thing….all for the love of my music, a.k.a. I’M PASSIONATE ABOUT MY ART….so, don’t go there…[snaps in an 'S' like motion]” - Mishal Moore

I so, so, would like to get back to the art of crocheting. I don’t know how hook up sweaters or items that require complex stitching patterns, but when it comes down to making anything square (pot-holders, scarves, and blankets, kitchen rugs, etc.) I’m your girl. *lol* Problem is, I start a project and rarely finish it. Probably because I have the attention span of a 3 year old. But if I can just step up my dedication a little bit, ya’ll know I’d be rockin’ some bomb designs. It’s really not that hard. I just need to stop B.S.’n… A sister aint got arthritis. I do have some time. I also have a creative flair, so what am I waiting for?
Q. Where’d I learn to twist up some yarn?
A. The Juvenile Detention Center circa 1986.
But that’s story for another time.

FOLLOW ME NOW…

Man, talk about “6 Degrees of Separation”…
Imagine my delight when I learned that my “B-Girl Be” (self portrait) inspired the ATL homey & artist on the rise, Goldi Gold of Jungle 45 to craft the “B-Girl Bandit” (see top right hand corner of the middle image above) piece featured in a well attended show in Charlotte, North Carolina (which I’ve heard is the “New Atlanta”).
That was a few weeks ago…
Now, imagine the twinkle in my eyes and the big ‘ol grin spread across my tired mug when I peeped Busta Rhymes bouncy new video “Don’t Touch Me”-Which ‘heads’ are crowning the return of the old (pre-steroided up, thick-necked and angry) “Busta Bus” and peeped “Big Lady Red”, the same lady my “B-Girl Bandit” piece hung out with in the videos backdrop.
Yesireeee. *smile*
That was tonight. You see, sometimes I be late on my current videos & stuff because I be busy with real ass life. Naw mean?
Anyhoo, the scenario makes sister feel goodddd. Not just for myself, but everyone involved. Jungle 45 is getting their video debut props via a really, really, FUNKY FRESH and FUN video brought to you by one my favorites, Busta Rhymes. And the Saucy Dame Dizzle is hot! Cuz afterall “I Am Hip Hop Son!!!”. LOL! Everybody’s winning. What’s not to love?
If you aint eyeballed the video footage yet, DO IT NOW!.
Shouts to Jungle 45 and my guy Goldi. Aint nothing but sunshine & kudos coming from this direction.

The Glorious Voice of Alice Smith
Posted by Saucy Dame Dizzle on

Voice control, not enough of todays artists exercise it. Alice Smith on the other hand, is so, so, sick with hers. Honeys voice is like rolling thunder and gentle rain. I LOVE IT. I’m pretty sure she is not a smoker.
And she’s hella sultry .
