Saucy Snippets - Saucy Don’t Wanna Go Home Just Yet…

One thing about Minneapolis that really sucks is that most of the clubs/lounges/venues shut down at 2:00 a.m. — much too early my friends. Usually around that time, ya girl is just getting warmed up. It’s a major drag to call it a night, take my tipsy tail home — only to spend the next few hours staring at the ceiling or watching crappy infomercials on television.
We need more after-hour spots in this joint!
Anyhoo, this here video is a spontaneous ode to having absolutely nowhere to go after the club… This particular night I was coming home from the Caterpillar Lounge, fresh off of 4 “Le femme Nikita” cocktails .

The Lady Tigra - “Bass On The Bottom”

“Work it out in LA, Play in NY, Rest in MIA” — that’s The Lady Tigra way….

“Shopisticato” - The Lady Tigra gets her rest and relaxation on.
Before Gwen Stefani and M.I.A got their electro-pop-fluff and stuff, bass-boogie on, there was L’Trimm. Some of you may remember one of hip-hop’s earliest bounce duos, sporting bustiers, ruffled skirts, patterned black stockings and ridiculous black ZORO-esque hats, that were trendy for all of the 2 seconds. The girls busted out of the Miami Bass movement and are best known for the infectious “Cars That Go Boom” , an ode to sub-woofers.
The bouncy rap glorified the sub-woofer culture and snuck onto the Billboard charts. Having three albums recorded before their 21st birthdays. Then *POOF*, L’Trimm fell off into never, never, one-hit-wonder-land — not to be heard from again with the exception of an occasional resurrection on a throwback playlist.
So what is this I spot on the i-net? A fairly new (considering the circumstances) and well done video from Ms.The Lady Tigra, looking real swell and switching up styles on the Blaxplotation tip. 20 years later, ma looks good and still has her bounce in motion. “Bass On The Bottom” is kinda poppin’ if you ask me. I guess I’m late because the video has been circulating since 2007. So why come aint nobody told me nothing?
Check the footage and let me know what you think.
