Jake One: Great Beat Writer (Mixtape)

Minnesotas own Rhymesayers Entertainment and HipHopDX have teamed up to hook you up with a free mixtape from Jake One. Appropriately named “Great Beat Writer” this mix gives you a taste of his previous work and a couple of new joints from the upcoming record “White Van Music” and is mixed by the man himself, Jake One. So go ahead and rock that — so many classic beats — until WVM drops (Oct 7th). Then cop that. Aight?
Please don’t sleep.
Jake One will be in Minneapolis next Tuesday, October 7th. I’mma have to make an appearance and see what’s crackin’. No diggity doubt.

Picture This: The Take Back Labor Festival

Aside from the tomfoolery that took place in downtown St.Paul yesterday, over yonder, the family friendly, peace loving “Take Back Labor Day Festival” rocked Harriet Island Park. My girl C.Rimstad aka C-Rocka put her ‘credentials’ to use and captured the moment. I didn’t make it to the festivities, but from the looks of the photos and what I’ve heard, the festival was pretty darn cool. Actually, it was described as being “Off the chain!”
From top to bottom: A purple SEIU Welcome, Slug and Ant of ATMOSPHERE, Fatlip (Pharcyde) and Muja Messiah, Mos Def

Peace and love, people.
Peace and loooove.

Guys and Dolls, Dames and Villians,
With much humility I present to you my very firstest internet video, ever! Filmed with my cheap arse digital camera and limited memory storage — I’m a total amateur (as you will soon see). I had fun filming the footage though, and I’ve decided to continue bringing saucy snippets of my divine state, Minnesota, and all that encompasses me . The presentation can only get better. Hell, it has too.
Just doing what it does,
Saucy Dame Dizzle -
P.S. It’s okay to make fun of my Midwestern twang. I know I do! *covers ears*
