Two Tears In A Bucket…

For those who are highly offended by the cover of the July 21st, issue The New Yorker — all ready-set-GO! to take a gallon of gasoline and light a match at the TNY’s headquarters and yada, yada, yada…

To you I say:

If you thought for a minute the media was going to play nice and not ‘go far’ with the stereotypes and ‘hee-haw’ styled attacks on the Obamas’, you’re about be real, real crushed for the remainder of the year. This type of tomfoolery is going to continue ‘pop off’ until November at the very least. If When Obama is elected as our next president, the fuckery will surely continue until his term has ended, perhaps longer.

Do you honestly think the Illinois Senator is sweatin’ the cover? I don’t. It’s crunch time. The haters are on their job like they should be. Last week it was Jesse, this week The New Yorker, next week who knows! All the haters will have their shot at a special guest appearance.

And the day goes on with more french-fries and milkshakes.

So just calm down. No need to get your blood pressure up. I understand it’s crude, tasteless and wrong on several accounts. BUT the true nastiness has yet to show its ugly little face. So if you must be pissed, be sure to save some of your indignation for real grime that’s about to pour from every mainstream media outlet, world-WIDE.

And lastly, from an art lovers perspective, the attempt at satire is… aight. Actually it kinda, sorta, sucks. I’ve seen better work at the Gallery of the Absurd.

I’m just sayin’…

I now leave you with a single from Nas’ new album, “Untitled” - Officially In Stores TODAY. For some reason it popped into my head when I saw this hot mess of a mag-cover on the ‘boob-tube’. Please don’t ask me why.
