Viva La Musica

Graph Nobel
Graph Nobel is about her grown woman business. As of late she’s been writing and recording like a maniac on a mission to slaughter the mediocre, microwave popcorn, bitches of the industry. Her musical stylings aint for everybody though - just the people who appreciate sultry vocals, the art of story telling and lyrics that conjure a wide range of emotions.

My personal favorites:Bedroom Lite”, “Let’s Dance”, “God Said” and “Shooting Stars”. Aw hell, truth be told, everything she’s hitting us with is my favorite.

Muja Messiah
Make way for the “Mayor of Minneapolis” - Muja Messiah! Right on time for a dose of that good, spring time freshness; his full length album “Thee Adventures Of A B-Boy D-Boy ” debuts April, 2008.

Balancing street savvy content along with extra-witty quips, and sometimes politically charged lyrics, Muja Messiah brings material for the more critically thinking type of cat. I’m speaking on those of us with an edge…who are familiar grayer areas of life. Those of us who ask questions, challenge authority and “Toast It Up” while doing it with a smile on our face and a middle finger in the air.

Thee Adventures Of A B-Boy D-Boy” features Black Thought, (The Roots), I-Self Devine, Slug (Atmosphere), Nikki Jean (see more info below), Samahra (Black Blondie) and Musab (Hieroglyphics). Production by Che Vicious (Eminem, L.Hill), BeanOne (DeLa ,One Be Lo), Doc (esthero,Young Buck) and Malik Worthy (esthero, k-os).

Van Hunt
Sexy, freaky, funky… and sometimes a tad bizarre; Van Hunts third, self produced album The Popular Machine” brings us closer to the mind set of the eclectic soul brother more than ever before.

This record is all the way me”. “Without a doubt, it’s certainly personal, in its sound, in its lyrics. I wouldn’t necessarily call it autobiographical, but it’s all about how I feel. Picasso said that art should disrupt, and it does that a bit.”

Yes, it does. And I’m digging it. Nevertheless, I still hear traces of Prince and Sly Stone. I aint mad though.
